Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway will run it back again!

Volkanovski (23-1) and No. 3-ranked p4p fighter in the world won the belt by narrowly defeating the Hawaiian via split decision in their first meeting in December 2019. They met again seven months later at UFC 251 and Volkanovski once again secured the victory by controversial split decision in his first title defense in July 2020.

Since their fights, Holloway went on to beat Calvin Kattar and Yair Rodriguez by decision. Volkanovski, for his part, earned a thrilling title defense over Brian Ortega at UFC 266 in a five-round bout in what was a Fight of the Year candidate.

In a highly anticipated bout, the long-awaited rematch between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan is finally on the books, Sterling and Yan first fought back at UFC 259 in March of 2021 ended in a disqualification after Yan blasted Sterling with an illegal knee in the fourth round.

The two fighters were expected to rematch at UFC 267 in October, but Sterling was forced out with a neck injury. Yan ended up claiming the interim bantamweight title with a unanimous decision win over Cory Sandhagen instead in a five-round Fight of the Night at UFC 267.
