Fan favorite Darren Till looks to get back on track when he faces surging welterweight contender, Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282.
Till (18-4-1) has struggled in his last five fights, going 1-4 with his only win coming by split decision and three of his four losses by finish. Dropping bouts to Tyron Woodley, Jorge Masvidal, Robert Whittaker, and most recently, Derek Brunson, back in September 2021. Despite the recent string of bad luck, Till remains No. 10 in the UFC’s middleweight rankings.
Meanwhile, Dricus (17-2) has been on a roll in the UFC, with a perfect 3-0 record and two knockout wins since 2019. His professional record stands at 17-2, with seven knockout and nine submission wins. His bout against Till will be Du Plessis’ 4th fight in the UFC — Du Plessis is a 3-time champion in outside promotions (EFC and KSW).
“Stillknocks” looks to propel himself into title contention and become one step closer to becoming the first South African champion in UFC history.
