Watch: Volkan Oezdemir KO Johnny Walker
Today’s UFC Saudi Arabia main card began with a light heavyweight bout between Johnny Walker and Volkan Oezdemir.
Volkan Oezdemir aims to maintain his momentum after securing an early victory in his last bout. “No Time” swiftly defeated Bogdan Guskov by first-round submission last September. Oezdemir is now striving for consecutive wins for the first time since 2019. On the other hand, Johnny Walker is looking to rebound from a knockout loss in his previous fight. In January, he was stopped in the second round by Magomed Ankalaev, which halted his streak of three consecutive wins, aside from a no contest with Ankalaev last October.
Tonight’s ‘Walker vs. Oezdemir’ matchup ended in the first round. ‘No Time’ dropped Johnny Walker with a powerful left hand within the opening two minutes and then floored him again just seconds later with a big right. Volkan followed up with a devastating ground strike that knocked Johnny Walker out cold in brutal fashion.
