Charles Oliveira gets booed by fans in Abu Dhabi ahead of UFC 280

Charles Oliveira knew he was coming into enemy territory when he collides with Islam Makhachev in the UFC 280 main event this Sat.

One of the anticipated title fights of 2022 takes place in the main event of UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Former lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira will square off with Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight title in Etihad Arena.

UFC 280 open workouts took place Wednesday inside of Yas Mall, “Do Bronx” joined the rest of the main card fighters for the open workouts with his teammates to run through some Brazilian jiu jitsu training for the crowd of assembled fans, but from the moment the Brazilian stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted in boos.

Oliveira did his best to shake off the rude welcome and get down to business for the fans and media in attendance.
