Alex Perez and vs Tatsuro Taira full fight video highlights and results
The UFC will return to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday for a pivotal main event in the flyweight division between No. 5-ranked contender Alex Perez and No. 13-ranked Tatsuro Taira.
UFC Vegas 93 will be the third main event or five-round fight of Perez’s UFC career and at least the fifth of his professional career. However, he hasn’t fought into the fourth round since 2015. Perez aims to reenter the flyweight title conversation with a second consecutive victory.
Taira, a highly touted Japanese prospect, boasts a 15-0 professional record, including a 5-0 record in the UFC with three finishes and two performance bonuses. However, he is taking a significant step up in competition, facing one of the top flyweights in the world after fighting fringe top-15 opponents. This will also be Taira’s first main event appearance, attracting added attention and interest to his rising hype train.
In Saturday’s main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Japan’s rising star Taira maintained his flawless record with a second-round TKO victory due to injury over former flyweight title contender Perez.
