Watch: Michael Morales TKO’s Gilbert Burns
The undefeated rising star in the UFC welterweight division Michael Morales secured the most significant victory of his career on Saturday, achieving a first-round TKO against former title challenger Gilbert Burns. This marks him as the first welterweight to finish Burns within the opening two rounds.
With his latest win, Morales now extends his impressive win streak to six in the welterweight division, surpassed only by champion Jack Della Maddelena (eight) and Shavkat Rakhmonov (seven). This rapid climb for the 2022 UFC debutant suggests he possesses all the necessary attributes to challenge for the title down the line.
