At the BKFC Champions Summit press conference on Thursday, Conor McGregor, a co-owner of BKFC, announced Mike Perry’s return to the promotion. Perry, who hadn’t fought in BKFC since April 2024 due to his boxing match with Jake Paul in July, has been awaiting his next fight. McGregor, asserting his authority, confirmed Perry’s upcoming bout.
When asked about a potential matchup with the Irishman, ‘Platinum’ said, “We might not ever see him fight again but he says he wants to. He’s still owned by the UFC but he’s working and promoting BKFC. An incredible matchup is for me and Conor to fight in BKFC, maybe some day he can get some practice in the ring. Otherwise he doesn’t get any practice and he thinks he can fight me in bare knuckle without having ever been in there. Right now, those things aren’t happening but I’m looking forward to it and excited about it. Until then, I’m focused on Dirty Boxing…”
McGregor was clearly upset when Jake Paul defeated Perry last July, even claiming to have fired him from the bare-knuckle promotion. However, a potential fight between Perry and McGregor is back on the table. All ‘Platinum’ needs to do is impress ‘The Notorious’ with his performance on October 11th.
“You’re welcome back because I welcomed you back,” McGregor said, “Oct. 11 is your date, and you’ll dance for me, boy. You’ll dance for the owner, and then we can talk.”
