UFC 318: Max Holloway beats Dustin Poirier
Max Holloway successfully defended his “BMF” title at UFC 318 in New Orleans tonight, avenging two earlier career losses to Dustin Poirier. Holloway secured a unanimous decision victory in the main event at Smoothie King Arena.
Holloway knocked down Poirier in the first two rounds and landed significantly more strikes, earning his second consecutive win at 155 pounds. Two judges scored the fight 49-46, while the third had it 48-47. The Star-Advertiser also scored the fight 49-46 for Holloway.
