UFC 298: Robert Whittaker vs. Paulo Costa full fight video highlights and results
In the co-main event of UFC 298, Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa are set to collide in a three-round middleweight bout inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California
Whittaker aims to bounce back following a second-round KO/TKO defeat to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 290 in early July. This setback marked his second loss in three fights, including a title bout against Israel Adesanya at UFC 271, where he fell short in a rematch of their UFC 243 encounter. Notably, Whittaker has gone the distance in five of his last six fights and seven of his previous nine bouts, with his only two fights ending inside the distance resulting in second-round KO/TKO losses.
On the other side, Costa seeks to continue his momentum after breaking a two-bout losing streak against Adesanya and Marvin Vettori with a unanimous decision victory over Luke Rockhold at UFC 278 in August 2022. Despite being slated to compete at UFC 294, Costa underwent elbow surgery, forcing him out of the bout against Khamzat Chimaev in the United Arab Emirates.
