McGregor’s mistake for his next fight, according to Chael Sonnen

Both Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone have signed to meet on January 18 at UFC 246 . Since the fight was announced, everyone in the MMA is talking about it.

Chael Sonnen thinks that “The Notorious” made a mistake accepting this fight .

“Conor is going to enter this fight as the big favorite. But we have to keep in mind that the fight will be five rounds . If Conor ever had a flaw in his career, and he hasn’t had very many, he’s been open to admit it, he gets tired .”

“I understand that he is going to knock out the ‘Cowboy’. But that’s the same thing he did with Nate Diaz. And when he realized he couldn’t beat him, all of a sudden you’re in the later rounds, and all of a sudden you’re out of energy.”

” I feel that Conor has made a miscalculation by returning in a five-round fight .”

It may be too demanding for the Irish to fight four or five rounds in his first bout after more than a year without competing. However, in reality, only two fights in his career passed the third round . The first was the rematch with Diaz, in which, despite being tired, he wins by the judges’ decision. The second was his last fight, in which he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the fourth round.
