In the loaded bantamweight division, Song Yadong takes a major step up in competition and battles former title challenger, Cory Sandhagen who enters his third main event slot on a two-fight losing streak.
Sandhagen (14-4) looks to rebound after his unanimous decision loss to Petr Yan back in October last year. The 30-year-old failed to win the Interim UFC Bantamweight Championship on that night but earned “Fight of the Night” honors for the five-round bout.
Yadong (19-6), No 10-ranked bantamweight contender, enters on a three-fight win streak and with wins in 10 of his last 12. He most recently fought in March when he defeated Marlon Moraes by TKO.
