Conor McGregor Could Face Jorge Masvidal For BMF Title On Fight Island

UFC President Dana White recently said that a fight between BMF champion Jorge Masvidal and former two-division champion Conor McGregor is “possible” to take place on “Fight Island”.

Dana, begins to generate speculation about a possible fight between Masvidal against McGregor, during an appearance on the Menace and The Man podcast with former UFC featherweight contender Dennis Bermudez.

Dana White said: “It is the fight that must happen if Masvidal wants a title shot. But yes, there is another interesting fight for him right now. ”

UFC president White is hoping to put on more events on his now infamous ‘Fight Island, Speaking to Jim Rome on Tuesday Dana White said:

“Conor’s been ready to fight for a while,” White revealed when “He’s in shape. He’s ready to go.

“First of all, ‘Fight Island’ is going to be very important in any of these fights that are happening with people from outside the country. It kills me to do a fight with Conor without fans. Kills me. This guy’s doing almost $20 million gates.”

 The Irishman last fought in January, when he returned from long inactivity with a 40-second TKO victory over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Jorge Masvidal, for his part, last fought in November 2019, when he defeated Nate Diaz by medical stoppage to obtain the first and only UFC BMF title. While Dana White initially denied the possibility of Masvidal defending that title, it appears that his tone has changed .
