UFC 320: Jiri Prochazka knocks out Khalil Rountree Jr
After absorbing two rounds of pressure from former title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr., Jiri Prochazka (32-5-1) secured a decisive victory with a vicious left-hand knockout 3:04 into the third round, ending the fight and setting himself up to demand a title shot soon.
Jiri Prochazka is aiming for a title shot, seeking to break a recent pattern of alternating wins and losses over his last four fights. The former champion’s last victory was a Performance of the Night stoppage of fellow former champ Jamahal Hill in January. Before that, Prochazka lost a title bid to Alex Pereira. He hasn’t secured back-to-back wins since his 13-fight winning streak ended against Pereira in November 2023.
Khalil Rountree Jr. is fresh off a victory over Jamahal Hill in the main event of UFC Azerbaijan. Before that win, his five-fight winning streak, which began in 2021, was snapped when he was stopped by Alex Pereira in his first title shot.
Official result: Jiri Prochazka def. Khalil Rountree via third-round KO (3:04)
